Innovative Martial Arts Academy is hosting a Women’s Self Defense Seminar on April 28th, 2012.  It’s called ‘Intense Defense’, and it’s one of our most sought after and loved programs.  We cover everything you can think of and instruct you in a safe environment so that you will not be the statistical 1 of 4 women assaulted in the U.S. 

You will learn the ‘Eight Tools of Self-Preservation’, Fight Back Combinations, how to read situations and have environmental awareness, how to find and use improvised weapons, how to help someone else in a safe manner, and so much more!

We will be closed for the holidays from December 23rd through January 1st.  We will reopen on January 2nd and have our Promotion Ceremony on January 7th, 3:30pm, at the Wake Forest-Rolesville High School Gym.  That is a Saturday.

Innovative Martial Arts Academy is having an open house and family fun day on September 10th, 2011.  This event is open to the public and students of IMAA.  This event will be huge!  Tell all your friends, and have them tell all their friends.  Here’s just a little bit of what is going on this day:  FREE Food, Awesome Door Prizes, Martial Arts Demonstrations, FREE Lessons, Discounted Tuition, Magic Show, Face Painting, FREE Adult Kickboxing, and Lots of FUN!

The Promotion Ceremony will be this Saturday, June 25th at the Wake Forest-Rolesville High School gym.  It begins at 3:30 pm. 

The gymnasium is located directly behind the school.  Access to the gym will be via ‘Rock Springs Road’  You will see a sign that says, “Events Parking”.  Follow that road down to the new parking deck, and make a left immediately after the parking deck.  That will take you directly to the gym and plenty of parking.  I look forward to seeing everyone there.

Innovative Martial Arts Academy is hosting an Intense Defense seminar on Saturday, June 4th starting at 10am.  This class is for women only and limited to 10 students. 

Statistically, one out of four women will be or have been violently assaulted in their lifetime.  The numbers are going up.  This course covers everything, from how to fend off an armed attacker to using improvised weapons to what to do if you’re pinned down to the ground.  The one thing we guarantee is that you won’t be the same person when you complete this course.

Fight Club is meeting on February 26th.  What is Fight Club, you ask?  It’s our sparring class.  We will go over kickboxing, sparring, and IMMA drills to give the students an edge when it comes to sparring in their regular classes. 

This is event is FREE and open to IMAA students only!  The event will start at 11am and will end about 1pm.  Students must have sparring gear!
