On Friday, April 28th at 6:15pm, Innovative Martial Arts Academy Instructors, Charles and Katherine Falk, want to help you avoid danger AND give you tools to fight back should DANGER come to you.
Have you ever wondered what you would do if someone pulled a weapon on you?
This Women’s Self Defense Workshop is going to cover what to do and what not to do if this situation ever arises. We will discuss options, strategies and statistics to give you a better chance of escaping unharmed. Disarming your attacker is a last resort but we will teach you basic disarms that you will have an opportunity to practice in class. This is the fun part! This will be hands-on training, working through different scenarios with plenty of time for Q & A. Don’t worry, we use rubber / plastic training weapons that cannot hurt you.
After the workshop we hope that you will stay for some wine or water and light hors d’oeuvres. Space is limited for this one so sign up now for a kick ass ladies night out!
The cost is ONLY $40 and registration is limited to 20 participants.
Following the classroom portion, we will have a question/answer-social time with light HORS D’OEUVRES and WINE! Talk about a perfect ending to a really good time!

We’ll cover Red Flags, Environmental Safety Do’s and Don’ts, Victim Avoidance, Strategies of a Predator, and Tools of Self-Preservation. These tools consist of effective techniques you can use right out of the gate. This is NOT a martial arts class, so you don’t have to be in great physical shape, extremely flexible, and be able to kick over your head. You can learn these techniques in this ONE class and become FORMIDABLE to an attacker.

Great school with wonderful teachers. My daughter has a great time learning and everyone is friendly. There is even an adult class that allowed me to try to see if I liked it and everyone was very patient with me. I am thankful to have my daughter be a part of the Innovative Martial Arts Academy in Wake Forest and know she is benefiting from it in more than one way. It amazes me how fast she is learning and how hard she is trying. They have her trying to develop at her fullest with her mind, body, and spirit. This place is great! Charles and his team have fantastic programs for kids. When we started our 3.5 year old son, I didn’t know what to expect. He quickly adapted to the classes and now loves going. Our 2 year old son loves watching and will start as well as soon as he turns 3. Innovative Martial arts also hosted their birthday parties. The kids had a blast doing different activities throughout the birthday party. Can’t say enough good things about this place, and what they teach!

Wonderful place for not only skill development but also personal development. Owner and instructors genuinely get to know students and families and care about them.
